Turn meetings into action items
The follow-ups you promise on a call are the ones most likely to get dropped. This walkthrough turns a recorded meeting into a clean summary, an updated account history, and a set of assigned tasks — automatically. It uses meetings, notes, and tasks.
Everything below is something you say to your AI assistant.
Meeting recording must be enabled for your workspace. If you don't see it, ask your workspace admin.
1. Record the call
Have Nous join and record your meeting. Once it's captured, you have a transcript to work from — no note-taking during the call.
2. Turn it into a summary
Summarize my last call with Acme Corp — the key decisions and anything we committed to — and save it as a note in Acme Corp's account history.
You get a tidy recap filed in the right place, not a wall of raw transcript.
3. Capture the follow-ups
From that same call, create tasks for every follow-up we agreed to. Assign them to me, set due dates from what we discussed, and attach them to Acme Corp.
Now the promises from the call are tracked items with owners and dates.
4. Close the loop with the client
Draft a follow-up email to Jane Doe recapping what we agreed and listing the next steps, but let me review it before sending.
5. Make it your default
Once you've done this a few times, wrap it into a process so it runs the same way every time:
Create a "Post-meeting" process that summarizes the call into the account history, creates tasks for the follow-ups, and drafts a recap email. Run it after every client call.
What you ended up with
- A summary note filed in the account's history.
- Assigned, dated tasks for every commitment.
- A draft recap email ready for your review.
- A repeatable process so it happens every time, without you asking.
Nothing from the call slips — and you spent the meeting listening, not typing.
