Tool		What it does
slack_find_user	read	Looks up a Slack user by email as the Mente app (bot) and returns their Slack user ID (U…), name and time zone — pass the ID as channel to slack_post_message to DM them.
slack_get_workspace	read	Shows which Slack workspace this connection (the Mente app (bot)) points at — call it when unsure which workspace a connection is.
slack_list_channels	read	Lists channels as the Mente app (bot) sees them: every public channel, plus private channels Mente has been invited to.
slack_post_message	write	Posts as the Mente app (bot) in this connection's Slack workspace: the sender shows as Mente, not as you.
slack_read_channel	read	Reads a channel's recent messages as the Mente app (bot), newest first — only channels Mente is a member of (run /invite @Mente in a channel first).
slack_read_thread	read	Reads one thread's messages as the Mente app (bot): the parent first, then replies oldest first — only in channels Mente is a member of (run /invite @Mente in a channel first).

Tool names are suffixed with the connection they run against when you have more than one — slack_find_user@production. With a single connection the bare name works.
